Get answers to common questions about Hydrating Paraffin Hand & Foot Treatment.
The in-salon session takes about 30–45 minutes. Results are immediate; skin feels softer for several days and often up to two weeks. Regular treatments and at-home moisturizers extend hydration and maintain improved texture over time.
Most clients with sensitive skin tolerate paraffin well. We control wax temperature and perform a short skin check first. Avoid treatment over open wounds or active dermatitis; inform your technician about allergies so we can adjust or offer alternatives.
We recommend applying paraffin on clean, polish-free nails for best absorption. Fresh gel or recent enhancements may lift; schedule paraffin before polish or wait until nail enhancements fully set. Our technicians advise per your specific nails and enhancements.
Contraindications include open cuts, rashes, infections, or severe circulatory disorders. People with uncontrolled diabetes, neuropathy, or recent vascular surgery should consult a physician prior to treatment. Your technician will screen and recommend safe alternatives if needed.
For maintenance, every two to four weeks suits most clients. If your skin is very dry or cracked, weekly treatments jumpstart hydration. Your technician will tailor frequency to skin condition and recommend at-home care to prolong results between visits.
If you have diabetes or circulation issues, consult your doctor first. Paraffin heat can risk burns or reduced sensation complications in neuropathy. With physician clearance and proper screening, many clients enjoy treatment safely under technician supervision.
